After spending some time in London and Milan, Enrique came back to San Sebastián to open his first restaurant. It was 1985. His inquisitive mind and entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of a company making ready-to-eat meals and Precocinados Benetan came into being. It was 1990. Since then, there have been many significant changes, like the development of a new, 6,000m2 manufacturing plant in Errenteria, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and a storage capacity of 2,500 pallets.
At present, Precocinados Benetan is part of Grupo Gourmet Okin, one of the leading groups in the Spanish food industry. This has resulted in improved service, capitalising on the business synergies of the group’s companies, the heavy investment to increase production capacity and the launch of new value-added products.
